Mission Control brings together remote specialists, field technicians, and engineering support, paired with the monitoring and diagnostics built into every Path welding cell. The goal is straightforward: keep the cell producing, keep downtime low, and reduce how much specialized expertise your team needs to stay on track.

At the same time, Path’s welding cells and Obsidian, our Physical AI model for welding, keep getting better. Mission Control ensures every system stays up to date on software, then continuously tunes performance in the field to improve throughput and weld quality over time.

The outcome is simple: the cell stays productive, and it improves as it runs.

In practice, Mission Control does three things consistently:

  1. Keeps the cell welding
    Support is available 24/5 with weekend on-call coverage, and the team uses real-time diagnostics to troubleshoot quickly. When issues require on-site help, we dispatch field service for training, maintenance, or mechanical swaps. The goal is not “support tickets.” The goal is uptime and throughput.

  2. Reduces the burden on your team
    Most teams do not want to become a robotics department to be successful with automation. Mission Control helps operators solve the issues that come up day to day, supports onboarding when new operators step in, and provides guidance through changeovers and production shifts. You get expert backup without needing to add headcount.

  3. Improves performance over time
    Mission Control is designed around continuous improvement, not static installs. Preventative maintenance practices, over-the-air updates, and ongoing performance gains help cells improve over time, similar to how software products get better through releases.
